Pursuant to A.R.S. $ 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Governing Board and the Public that the board will hold a meeting open to the public on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., in the Governing Board meeting room, Peach Springs Unified School District No.8, 403 Diamond Creek Road (Peach Springs Elementary School), in Peach Springs, Arizona. Information regarding agenda items, with the exception of materials relating to Executive Sessions, may be reviewed in the District Administrative Offices located at 403 Diamond Creek Road, Peach Springs, Arizona.
The Governing Board of the Peach Springs Unified School District #8 may vote to meet in executive session intermittently throughout the meeting pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03, to review and discuss certain matters which are marked by an asterisk(*). Additionally, the Board may vote to go into Executive Session on any matter listed on the agenda, pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03 (A) (3), for discussion or legal advice from the Board’s attorney, which may occur via person or telephone. Any Executive Session discussions will not be open to the public. However, all Board decisions will be made in the open public meeting.
If any disabled person needs any type of accommodation, please notify administration at (928) 769-9034 prior to the time scheduled for the meeting. All members of the public wishing to address the Board are required to sign the attendance sign-in sheet and complete a Public Comment form. Board members of the Peach Springs Unified School District may attend either in person or, when necessary, by telephone, video conferencing, or internet conferencing.

B. Training and Travel
1. School Business Management AASBO training Friday and Saturday, November 7 and 8th for Jeren Smallcanyon at registration fee of $175 (For prior approved business training, Jeren Smallcanyon did not attend due to time needed on site working)
2. STEM training for Mikhail Smallcanyon on Friday and Saturday, January 22 and 23 in Phoenix, AZ at registration fee of $200 (paid by state grant for STEM)
3. NSTA National Conference on Science Education for Mikhail Smallcanyon March 31-April 3, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Registration fee $265 and travel paid by state grant for STEM)

C. Business
1. Discussion and possible action to Approve District Payroll and Expense Vouchers 1609, 1216
2. Update authorized signatures for ACH Wells Fargo account
3. Sole Source Vendor List (corrective action needed from 2014 audit finding)
4. Affirmation of Consultation Title 1 D Hualapai Juvenile Detention and Rehabilitation Center MoU
5. Community Development Institute Head Start Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Head Start and Peach Springs School
6. Resolution of dispose of property- Beginning bidding process to sell excess non student transportation vehicle surplus of the Shuttle
7. Discussion and possible action to accept donation of additional cameras to increase file security in the business and administrative offices by The Professional Group
8. Discussion and possible action to accept donation of $5,000 from Grand Canyon West to begin a PBIS student behavior incentive store as students earn tiger tickets/tiger bucks for demonstrating desired behaviors with teamwork, model for following procedures and school-wide expectations, and exceptional behavior to increase positive learning environment. Goal is to increase time spent on learning!

IX. PERSONNEL

A. Discussion and Possible Action regarding administrative recommendation for the hire of the following new employees:
1. Martin Echerman, elementary substitute teacher that has all his current ADE certifications and fingerprint clearance
2. Ron Quasuala Jr. for girls and boys basketball coach for girls and boys at the rate of $1500
3. LeRoy Talayumtewa, Dean of Students/Behavioral Coordinator at rate of $55,000 (prorate)

B. *Discussion and Possible Action regarding resignation of the following certified staff member [A.R.S. 38-431.03 (A) (1) discussion and consideration of employment]:
1. *Sharon Campbell, 1st grade teacher effective 10/12/2015
2. *Michael Nichols, 5th grade teacher effective 10/15/2015
3. * Kim Nichols, 3rd grade teacher effective 10/15/2015

X. CALL TO THE PUBLIC (This is the time that the public to comment. Members of the Board may not discuss items that are not on the agenda. Therefore, action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter of scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.)
