Families in Transition (McKinney-Vento) supports students and families who are experiencing housing instability. If your family is living in a temporary situation—such as sharing housing, staying in a motel, shelter, or without permanent housing—your child may qualify for additional support. Our goal is to ensure every student has immediate access to education, stability, and the resources they need to succeed.

âť“ Do You Qualify for Support?
Your child may qualify for McKinney-Vento services if your family is currently:
Living with friends or relatives due to loss of housing or financial hardship
Staying in a motel or hotel
Living in a shelter or transitional housing
Sleeping in a car, campground, or public place
Living in housing that is unsafe or lacks basic utilities
If you are unsure, please reach out—we are here to help determine eligibility.
⚖️ Know Your Rights
Children and youth experiencing homelessness have the right to:
Immediate enrollment in school, even without required documents
Remain in their school of origin when in their best interest
Transportation assistance to and from the school of origin
Access to free meals and educational services
Participation in all school programs and activities
Our goal is to remove barriers and provide stability for your child.
