Lady Warriors Show Resilience in Conference-Opening Victories

The Music Mountain Lady Warriors opened conference play with two exciting comeback victories against Desert Star Academy on Friday, September 4.

The junior varsity team faced an early challenge after Desert Star Academy captured the opening set. Rather than becoming discouraged, the Lady Warriors regrouped, worked together, and won the next two sets to secure a 2–1 victory.

The varsity contest brought even more excitement. Desert Star Academy took the first two sets, placing Music Mountain in a difficult position. The Lady Warriors responded with determination and resilience, battling back to win three consecutive sets and claim the match, 3–2.

Both teams demonstrated the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and staying focused when facing adversity. Their effort was an excellent reflection of the pride and fighting spirit of Music Mountain Jr./Sr. High School.

The Lady Warriors will next travel north to face Shonto Preparatory School. Only the varsity team will compete during that matchup because Shonto Prep does not currently have a junior varsity team.

Congratulations to our Lady Warriors and coaches on a tremendous start to conference play. We are proud of the way our student-athletes represented Music Mountain and Peach Springs Unified School District.
