You may have heard the term "SEL" in educational settings. It stands for Social and Emotional Learning, and it is a huge part of what our educators do on a day-to-day, hour-by-hour, and minute-by-minute basis. Of course, academic success is ALWAYS a top priority for us; however, we also realize that helping our students understand and practice social skills among their peers in a safe school setting is also essential to their success. All that being said, we wanted to share some resources that may. help you better understand what SEL is and why it's important!

For more information on SEL, please visit the Arizona Department of Educations's SEL page and/or The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL). Both are fantastic resources, and we hope you'll take some time to explore them.
