Checkout out this science experiment in 5th grade today at Peach Springs Elementary School. The class has partnered with Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff and will have lessons every month with a field trip to Lowell Observatory at the end of the year. Today they were experimenting with dry ice. Way to go 5th grade Tigers.

Paraprofessional – Bus Ride Support (Part-Time)
Schedule: Mon–Thu, 5:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.

Peach Springs Unified School District is seeking a reliable, caring paraprofessional to supervise and assist students during the morning bus ride to school.

Key Duties:

Ride the bus each morning to ensure student safety and supervision.

Assist students with boarding, seating, and exiting.

Maintain a respectful, orderly atmosphere.

Support students with special needs and assist staff as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card & valid driver’s license.

Experience working with children preferred.

Good morning, this is an urgent alert to let you know due to the no power in Peach Springs this morning, the elementary school will be starting at a delayed start at 9 AM Mohave Electric has advised they have crew on the way the substation is down. We Anticipate power being restored at approximately 9 AM. Music Mountain high school is in session-- The bus is running. ALL 7th - 12th graders have school and MMHS is in session. Elementary will start at 9am, the bus route will be running exactly 2 hours delayed for elementary runs. Please share this info!

An Update from Superintendent Santiago:

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Family Members,

Welcome back to another exciting year of learning for our students and community! We have returning staff members who are excited for the upcoming staff year, and new staff members who are ready to join the great work we have been doing.

I wanted to specifically ask you to welcome Jason Greenway, our new Elementary School Principal. And a special thanks for Ms. Hardy on the work she did helping us move forward. Jason has an extensive experience in teaching math and science, emphasizing student and parent engagement.

I have not been able to be with you in Peach Springs this week, and wanted to share with you why. Unexpectedly, I developed an infection in my right arm, and needed to be hospitalized as of last week. My doctors feel like they have things under control, but it will take some time for me to get better. I miss everyone there, and I will return as soon as my recovery allows me.

In the meantime, please stay focused on the work at hand (educating our students) and the power of collaboration. We have a great team this year, and I look forward to seeing all that we can accomplish for our students. The fun work begins next Wednesday (July 30th), and we are eager to welcome our students back to school.
